Karak Restaurant as seen from Karak Castle
This is a view from the same vantage point as previous one. We eat lunch eat day inside the building (through the glass doors in the center) and dinner out on the veranda in the evening. Note the minaret of a mosque on the sky line in the upper right hand side of the picture.
When I ate here in May I gave the waiter 10 denari to pay for my drink. He didn't have enough change so he gave me the change minus 5, which he said he would be back with momentarily. As our group was starting to get up to leave he was still nowhere to be found, and before I know half the restaurant seems to know about my missing 5 denari and I'm explaining it to the manager in what little Arabic I could muster... "Hamsa denari!" Shortly after that he appeared, having forgotten about it for a few minutes: "Ah... hamsa!" and gave me the change.
